Collaborating with Brandwonden Stichting: Helping a Charity Maximize Website Performance

This year, we’re excited to announce our collaboration with the Brandwonden Stichting, a charity dedicated to preventing burn injuries and supporting those affected by them. Together, we aim to improve their website performance and ultimately help them reach more people who can support their cause.

As part of this collaboration, MeasureCamp Amsterdam attendees will have the opportunity to engage in sessions designed to help the Brandwonden Stichting optimize key aspects of their website and digital performance. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the challenges we’ll tackle together.

Discussion Session: Setting Targets for Success

The Brandwonden Stichting has already identified KPI’s for their website, but the next challenge is setting effective targets to monitor their performance. In this interactive session, we will dive into how to determine realistic and impactful targets for each KPI. Together, we’ll explore the process of setting benchmarks that will allow the Brandwonden Stichting to track their progress over time.

KPI Dashboard Challenge

Once we have established our targets, the next task is creating a user-friendly dashboard that allows the Brandwonden Stichting to monitor and report on their KPI’s efficiently. The challenge here is to design a dashboard that will be useful not only for the team but also for reporting to management on a weekly basis. These targets are fictional, but we’ll integrate them into our project to create a meaningful experience for both attendees and the charity. We create a Looker Studio Dashboard so you can already have a look at all the data.

Optimizing the Website Funnel

The Brandwonden Stichting sells products on their website to support their important cause, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to optimizing the user journey and funnel. During this session, we will help the team analyze data and identify potential areas for optimization. We will focus on how to resolve the biggest issues based on user behavior and help improve the conversion rates of purchases to donations.

One key goal is to drive more donations from visitors who have already made a purchase. How can we upsell donations to this specific audience? We’ll brainstorm strategies for optimizing this funnel both on and off the website to generate more support for their mission.

Tracking Optimization: Debugging GA4 + GTM

The Brandwonden Stichting has identified that their tracking setup is not perfect, and they need help improving it. During this “micro hackathon” session, attendees will work directly with the team to conduct a scan of their current Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) setup. Together, we’ll resolve any issues and ensure that the data collected is accurate and reliable for future decision-making.

KPIs to Measure Success

Throughout the collaboration, we’ll focus on achieving the following key goals for the Brandwonden Stichting:

  1. Increase the number of donors – We’ll optimize the website to drive more conversions from visitors to donations, improving the donation conversion rate.
  2. Boost upsell from purchasers – While the website has a great number of purchases, we want to increase the ratio of visitors who make a purchase and then go on to donate.
  3. Increase engagement with burn prevention content – We’ll aim to increase interactions with burn prevention materials, ensuring people spend more time engaging with this crucial information.
  4. Drive more sessions – Despite a healthy number of users, we aim to increase the total number of sessions on the website, bringing in more visitors to support the cause.
